Sweet Lew’s Bakery was founded by us in 2025 in our home in Franklin, TN! We are partners in everything—life, big dreams, and now, business. We are the dynamic duo: clinical therapist and software engineer/accountant by day, Alexandra brings the baking and heart and James brings the business and brains. We really do go together like butter and sugar!
Sweet Lew’s was born on many Central Park walks and over some of our favorite New York City baked goods—when we envisioned what GOOD baked goods could do. It all started with a humble oatmeal chocolate chip cookie baked in a tiny 5th floor walk up apartment and the dream is now here, in the heart of Franklin (and someday beyond…)

Our passion is for cookies, community, and caring for the city. But it doesn’t stop there: Sweet Lew’s Bakery is on a mission to accomplish big dreams of serving our community of Franklin and beyond, not just in baked goods but in meeting the tangible needs of our neighbors.
We hope that one day we have our very own brick and mortar and Sweet Lew’s Bakery becomes a place that smells and feels like home—where everyone is welcome and anyone can be a baker.

Why “Sweet Lew’s?”
Born Alexandra LEWIS, the bakery is inspired by the nickname “Sweet Lew,” given to the sweet 3 point shots she and her Dad and brother have. “Lew” is a nickname her parents call each other and the family Yukon XL repped the same license name. We wanted to capture the same air of silliness, intimacy, and excellence that is tied up in “Sweet Lew.”
